Last week, Lawrence Dallaglio visited the south-west London cemetery where his beloved mother Eileen and sister Francesca are buried.
Eileen died two years ago from cancer aged 70 and Lawrence says, ‘There wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t think of Francesca at some stage, as we all do.’
Francesca was just 19 and the youngest of the 51 who perished in the Marchioness riverboat disaster on the Thames in They found her body by Battersea Bridge four days after the pleasure boat sank following a collision with a dredger.
