Early life
Plummer was born on March 23, , in New York City, the only child of American actress Tammy Grimes and Canadian actor Christopher Plummer.[1][2] Her father said that they named their daughter Amanda Michael after Amanda Prynne, a character from the play Private Lives, and the actress Michael Learned.[3] She attended the elite Trinity School before graduating from the United Nations International School (UNIS).
