          Shri Yashwant Deo (aka Yashwant Dev) was a renowned music composer, singer, lyricist and film music director, living in Mumbai.

          He scored music for Marathi plays, films and radio plays. His songs became popular in the 1960’s through singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar and Arun Date, among others.

          Yashwant heard Osho’s discourses and read his books for the first time when Osho had left for the USA.

          He then visited Rajneeshpuram and became a sannyasin there, in 1984, a year after his marriage to Karuna.
