I was scraping off layers of paint, one by one, until I uncovered something that transported me back in time.
At that moment, I was working in the Art Conservation Studio, revealing paintings on the walls of a medieval building.
Following designated sections, I scraped off layers of paint, uncovering works from different periods of art history.
Strangely, the youngest layers turned out to be the most faded. Week by week, I uncovered deeper and older ones.
Eventually, I reached the oldest layer, dating back to the medieval period.
